The Greenhouse difference

Greenhouse aims to help you grow your income, equity and freedom.

The idea for Greenhouse grew over coffee chats about the pain points in our industry and what we as agents wanted as solutions for each roadblock. As a group of independent agents and property managers, who had done our time in both franchised and independent business models, we knew what worked and where our challenges were, but we also knew what would help us work better.

Fast and faultless sales admin should be a no-brainer, we agents said. All the important back-office work - trust accounting, contracts, vendor marketing - taken care of quietly and inexpensively. And with no demands to be part of a stifling group set-up.

The property managers, meanwhile, talked of the idea of a busy two-way street for client referrals - rental leads flowing from a gaggle of independent agents, and sales leads flowing back in return.

A new entity with the tools to support one other? The seed was planted!

But then we wanted more… so it was back to the hothouse to see what we could propagate!

What if that entity could also help with one of the hardest elements of real estate for an independent agency - building a rent roll?

We talked about the gold standard for agents; the ability to create a strong rent roll without all the daily struggles of managing rental properties, owners and tenants. What if someone else could take away all that for you?  We know agents want the equity that a strong rent roll creates and the saleable asset, but they also understand that quality property management takes a whole different set of skills not usually seen in sales agents.

What if we could refer rental leads to the property management experts to secure and maintain the property and client - yet still as agents, retain ownership of the asset? In other words, property management with no workload, no office, no staff and no OH&S implications. Now that really would be perfect!

And so, Greenhouse began to take shape. A protected space where agents could grow their business their way and nurture equity for future financial freedom. One giving property managers access to strong, consistent rental leads. And where every sales process from admin to commission structure was clear, open and transparent.
